Download: Mobile Holy Quran for Apple iPhone/iPod Touch

This process assumes that you are very familiar with transfering files into the iPod Touch and iPhone.

We used the sound files of the recitors from the fine folks at www.versebvversequran.com. However we have to do some modification to the naming conventions. As such please visit them to look their effort in providing free Quran reading on the internet. Kindly consider to support them by giving donations on their website.

You MUST have already install the Mobile Holy Quran software in your iPod Touch or iPhone and that youVe downloaded the particular Surahs database locally into your iPod Touch or iPhone before you can perform the below mentioned steps.

1) Click on the "Surah" tab below and choose the particular Recitor and Surah that you wish to install in your iPhone. Click on the corresponding icon to download the Zip file.

2) Unzip the downloaded file. You will see the folder name (e.g 028)

3) Use your SSH software (e.g WinSCP, Filezilla, Fetch, Fugu etc) and connect to your iPod Touch or iPhone.

4) Navigate to the following directory/private/var/root/Library/Quran" and you will see all the Surahs thatyouVe installed in your iPod Touch or iPhone.

5) Drag the entire folder from Step 2 into your iPhone or iPod Touch/private/var/root/Library/Quran directory.

6) Disconnect your SSH software and try launching the Mobile Holy Quran from your iPod Touch or iPhone. Insyallah you should hear the new recitor's voice.
